Current event quiz.

Today our class engaged in another current quiz which took us sometimes to get through. Some of the  questions puzzled me and one little quiz question caught my eyes so I thought I should blog about it.

Which country is set to release treated radioactive water from a destroyed nuclear plant into the sea?

the options were...                             Answer was: Japan

Japan.

India.

Russia.

Japan to release treated Fukushima water into the sea | News | DW | 16.10.2020

Over the past few years there has been so many examples of chaos in our world happening everyday. One of them includes Japan's nuclear. Fukuyama Japan happened to be affected by a nuclear reactor, which has also affect lots the pacific's sea's and islands by the radiation. The nuclear affected the area of Fukushima since 11 of march 2011 caused by a major earthquake which caused a 15 metre tsunami, disabled the power supply and cooled of three of Fukushima daiichi reactors and that's when the radiation began to destroy lots of Fukushima parts which has also effected all three cores melted in the first three days.

People from Japan and some of the worlds helpers has been preventing the cause of radiation by contaminated water which has since cooled down the destroyed reactor blocks from further meltdown. And it has been currently stores in large tanks but are expected in 2022.

Today our class participated in our current events quiz which we do every Friday. Me and my group came second into winning the quiz, we got eleven right. The 1st placed group got 15 and the rest did a great job. While trying our best to win all the answer our teacher gave a task to make a blog post about our current event quiz earlier, and it was our choice to pick which one. I chose this.....

Mussels Facts

Last week me and T3 dissected mussels in our class for facts and information about these sea creatures and how they survive where they live. Some can be on the shores or in deep water. Not only did we dissect the poor creature but we created a diagram mainly including about parts of a mussel. We learned so many new things about mussels thanks to Mr B. It was amazing learning facts about mussels. As Mr B was teaching us he also explained to us that our specific diagram about a dissected  mussels was also one of our activities on our school camp to Mistletoe bay

Here is one fact.

In order for mussels survive, they must gather food and oxygen from the water. They do this by drawing water in through their in current siphon, moving the water over their gills, and then passing the water out through their ex current siphon.
Here's my groups diagram.

Zoomed in photos

This morning me and my class/T3 went over to Mrs Costello/the librarian, and work in the library. After reading some books and work, Mrs Costello told us about an activity that we can do, which is what we did last year with you,  which is photo zoomed in,basically taking a photo that zoomed in and trying to guess what the photo actually is. And so we did, it took me like 4 minutes.

Hints.

There hard but small.

There may be like a thousand or a million of them.

There sometimes grey white or black.

They can make you dirty.

Riddle day

Today me and my group were given an activities of doing riddles and puzzle, our first mystery  activity  was a puzzle of a hippopotamus.

Our second activity was a second puzzle, about a symbol, doing it was probably the hardest one out of all the three puzzles.

Our last puzzle was the about a space ship I think with dark clouds all over the ship.
So after all the activities we started doing maths quiz, we some and easy questions it came with letters when we got the answer right, so we has to write down all the letters that was given by our teacher, after getting all the letters, it was scrambled, so all we had to do was to unscramble the words, into a name of a country with unscrambling the word we had a map to help us with the name. After unscrambling the words we found the city out which was ancient Egypt.

There were so many people watching  our plant and we had to water them everyday that is why they grew. The plant that was in sand grew the best and the plant was in the rocks was the worst.
